We are pleased to introduce the new executive team of 2016-2017!
Victoria Truong
President
Year in commerce program: 3rd year
Major(s): Supply Chain Management & Logistics and Leadership & Organizations
Why you wanted to join UMSCO or why you’re interested in supply chain:
Working in supply chain includes a lot of details, planning and working under tight deadlines, which is what attracted me to this major. It is a challenging environment where problem solving and thinking on your feet is a necessity which is an aspect that I absolutely love. Supply chain also provides many new experiences on a daily basis that keeps you on your toes which is another reason why I am interested in supply chain. I'm looking forward to developing more relationships with companies and helping to bridge an easier connection between students and employers to help find the right match. I'm also looking forward to the many new people I will meet, and the experience of competing in a supply chain business competition in January.
Favourite food?
I have many favourite foods, and it really depends on my cravings (I have a lot of them). But foods that top my list are: poutine, ice cream, sushi, Indian butter chicken and perogies
What you like to do in your free time?
Play ultimate frisbee, read, bake and play with my 2 dogs :)
If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
Bali, Indonesia because I was inspired by the movie Eat, Pray, Love to travel there. I would also love to travel to Japan to sight see and try Kobe beef.
Other Fun Facts:
1. I don't watch movie trailers because I would prefer to have no expectations when entering a movie
2. I'm a multiple sneezer and my record has been 21 sneezes in a row
3. My favourite childhood movie was the Lion King
4. I am the youngest of 5 children
5. I absolutely love food

Sydney Anderson
Vice-President, Special Events
Year in commerce program:
I am roughly halfway through completing a degree in business at the U of M. I recently just got accepted into the commerce program in summer 2015 and declared SCM as my major.
Major(s): Supply Chain Management
Why you wanted to join UMSCO or why you’re interested in supply chain:
I decided to join UMSCO so that I could get more involved with the supply chain community within Winnipeg. I was also interested in joining the organization to gain a more practical idea of how a degree in supply chain could be used in my future. I am looking forward to the case competitions taking place in Winter 2016 because they seem like a very exciting experience. These competitions will provide our teams with real world problems that will help prepare us for a career in supply chain management.
Favourite food?
My favourite food is green curry, the spicier the better.
If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
I would want to visit Alaska because of the diverse landscapes and wildlife.

Dora Frohlich
Vice-President, Communications
Year in commerce program: 3rd year
Major(s): Supply Chain Management and Human Resources
Why you wanted to join UMSCO or why you’re interested in supply chain:
I joined UMSCO to expand my network and get more students excited about the supply chain major as I feel it is often overlooked. I look forward to all the fun events we have planned this year such as our Welcome BBQ and exam crams. I hope that other members of UMSCO take advantage of these opportunities to network and learn more about the many different areas of supply chain that we can work in after graduation!
Favourite food?
My favorite food is tacos al pastor. I eat them every single day when I go to Mexico because that’s where the real good food is!
(Taco Time and Taco Bell are not real tacos!!! I cannot stress this enough)
What you like to do in your free time?
In my spare time I love watching TV (pretty much just Scandal, Suits, and Modern Family) with my dog and taking her out for walks or to the dog park.
If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
If I could travel a nywhere in the world I would go to the Maldives, the beaches there look incredible!
Other Fun Facts:
1. I was actually named after my grandma, they named Dora The Explorer after me ;)
2. I took piano lessons for ten years, since I was 6 years old.
3. I've loved horses and dogs since I was a kid. I even memorized the anatomy of a horse and all dog breeds when I was younger.
4. I love the beach, but the ocean terrifies me. I only swim up to where I can still reach the bottom on my toes. I get sea sick really fast.
5. I'm fluent in Spanish and Hungarian.
