ON BEHALF OF UMSCO EXECUTIVE 2016-2017, WELCOME BACK! GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU IN THIS YEAR'S STUDIES!
What is UMSCO?
UMSCO stands for University of Manitoba Supply Chain Organization. It is a student run group operating out of the Asper School of Business. Its main purpose is to provide information, resources and networking opportunities to those whose major is Supply Chain and Logistics, or to those who are interested in the field.
What Does UMSCO Provide?
UMSCO brings a unique guest to each monthly meeting to speak to our members about Logistics and/or Supply Management.
The monthly meetings are a great place learn information pertinent to the field of Supply Chain and make connections for future job opportunities.
UMSCO hosts an annual Meet and Greet event. The Meet and Greet is our best networking event of the year- it is an evening spent with representatives from companies highly involved in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. During the event attendees are able to ask questions and learn about the companies and representatives over food and beverages. In the past students have been highly successful making connections for their future.
Companies that have participated in the Meet and Greet in the past include TransX, APICS, Manitoba Hydro, SCMA Manitoba, Bison Transport, CentrePort Canada, and CITT.
